
Tamarind Rice Ingredients :
Rice – 3 cups
Onions finely chopped- 1
Tamarind water – 50 gms
garlic finely chopped – 200 gms
Coriander powder – 1/2 spoon
chilli powder – 1 spoon
peanuts – 100 gms
coriander leaves
salt to taste
Chana dal, urad dal,mustard seeds,red chillies to garnish
Tamarind Rice Tip :
If you fry and grind fenugreek seeds along with others it adds more flavor
Tamarind Rice Preparation :
1) Heat some oil in a pan
2) Fry the mustard seeds, chana dal,urad dal and the red chillies
3) Add onionsĀ to the oil fry them well
4) Add chilli powder, peanuts and coriander powder to the oil and let them blend with the mixture
5) Add the tamarind water and let it to boil some salt to taste
6) finally add the coriander leaves .
7) Boil the rice separately and leave them in a plate and let the rice to cool down.
8) Add the mixture to the white rice.
